A former Pilot’s retreat, Crab Quay Cottage benefits from views over the historical working harbour, as well as relaxing peeps towards the rustic coastline beyond. In recent years, the cottage has been completely refurbished, and is now laid out over three floors to provide comfortable sleeping for six across three bedrooms.

Downstairs, a relaxed lounge boasts the character charm of an exposed stone wall, as well as a cosy gas fireplace, perfect for gathering together to escape the cold winter nights. A modern, fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing home cooked meals during your visit, gathered around the large dining table for meals together. Alternatively, why not open up the French doors to the balcony and let the sun shine through, or enjoy that morning coffee or glass of wine as the sun sets over the Brixham working harbour side. Over the first and second floors you will find three bright and relaxing bedrooms, as well as two contemporary bathrooms for freshening up before a day exploring.

There are plenty of local amenities right on your doorstep, including the refreshing open-air Shoalstone swimming pool filled with fresh sea water just 20 minutes’ walk away. And after a long day of exploring, why not head back to the cottage and up to the loft room, and enjoy the board games to decide who is loading the dishwasher after food?! Alternatively, you can escape the rest of the family and unwind in front of the TV.

We stayed here. 4 adults, a teenager and 2 under 3 years old. We had a great time! Thank you. I was worried about the space before we arrived but there was no need! The cottage is cosy but we felt really comfortable. The cottage has a really nice atmosphere and we thought the location was good. The cottage was really nicely presented, nice furniture and lots of cutlery and pots in the kitchen. I was worried the parking might be a problem but again it wasn't too bad. We parked at Freshwater and Oxen cove, they had spaces in the evening but they could get busy during the day. We were able to quickly unload just across the road in the Yacht Club car park. We didn't have any problems with the fish market behind the cottage, it wasn't too noisy. Brixham is a beautiful village and the surrounding coastline is great to explore. We were really lucky and got to swim with local seals in Churston Cove just to the North.
